Frenchman Walide Khyar released in the third round – Sport.fr

Frenchman Walide Khyar was eliminated in the third round of the World Judo Championships in the under 66 kg category, this Friday in Tashkent.

“It’s cruel, it’s the lot of our sport and the high level,” said Christophe Gagliano, head of the men’s team. “There are five minutes of combat which are very good from Walide with a respected tactical plan and a small relaxation on just one sequence and that is what is fatal”.

For his part, the 27-year-old judoka Walide Khyar, was very affected by his defeat. “I’m sad, I find it hard to speak (…) I don’t know why it does that to me. This may be too much time”.
