French and New Zealand rugby players confidently enter the PK semi-finals

The French and New Zealand women’s rugby teams secured their place in the semi-finals of the World Cup on Saturday. In the first match of the quarter-finals, France defeated Italy 39-3.

On the other hand, in the second quarter-final, the host New Zealand won 55-3 over Wales. France dominated Group C, where they finished second, losing only to England, while New Zealand celebrated winning all three matches in Group A to finish first.

The two winners of the first two quarter-finals will meet in the semi-finals. In the other two quarter-final matches to be played on Sunday, England will play Australia and Canada will face the USA. The semi-finals will be held on November 5, while the medal fights will take place on November 12.

The Women’s Rugby World Cup has been held since 1991. The five-time and current champion is New Zealand, the English national team has won twice, and the USA has won once in the most prestigious women’s rugby tournament. The 2021 World Cup, which was postponed to this year due to the pandemic, will be held in New Zealand from October 8 to November 12.
