Competitive activity is resumed after the break, very short for many La Marmora athletes, and immediately we have an important start for two Lamarmoran Judo athletes who will participate in the World Championship in Portugal.

The Italian representative of FISDIR (Italian Paralympic Sports Federation of Relational Intellectuals), which includes, among the six called up, two athletes of the Team Ability section of La Marmora Gymnastics in Biella, flew to Madeira where from 30 September to 2 October they will take place. the Judo and Basketball World Championships.

The prospects for excellent results are good for both athletes who will work hard with determination to get on the podium. At the Italian Championships Martina Tomba, in the category under 52 kilograms with great determination, had overtaken her opponents by winning a very important gold. In the men’s sector, our champion Francesco Verrrengia in the category under 73 kilograms despite meeting numerous valuable opponents, managed to win the silver medal. The result of these two champions served as a passport to these World Championships.

We hope they can repeat the results obtained in 2021 at the Euro Trigames in Ferrara where both won the gold medal.
