The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) joined this Monday to the ‘Football For The Goals’ project, a joint initiative between the United Nations (UN) and the sport’s federations to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ).
In a statement, the FPF informs that it is committed to “defending and implementing policies in line with the sustainability objectives set by the UN” and explains that it will “have access to resources, content and specialized knowledge, within the United Nations, and the opportunity to to collaborate, through this initiative, in calls, discussions and events alongside the 50 constituents».
The Football For The Goals project aims to inspire and guide the football world, from clubs to international federations, to take advantage of and enhance the sustainability approaches existing in that sport and implement strategies that lead to behavior change.
