A few days after the altercation, the media TMZ obtained the images of the clash between the two players. We see the inside staring at his partner for a long time, before approaching him and jostling him.
Jordan Poole responds by pushing him, before Green lands a punch in the chin. The full-back falls to the ground, as staff members rush to separate the two men.
Green apologized
The star of Warriors apologized Thursday to his team and staff for his bloodshed the day before, said Bob Myers, general manager of Golden State. Myers did not go into details of the altercation but confirmed that it, reported by several media on Wednesday, did take place. “As you know, there was an altercation. The people concerned are those who were named in the media yesterday” (Wednesday), he assured.
“Everyone is fine…Look, this is the NBA – in professional sports these things happen. Nobody likes it, we don’t excuse it, but it does happen,” he said. he adds. Myers still insisted that the defending champions’ NBA season build-up was going smoothly despite the incident.
“It’s unfortunate and I’m not going to deny it. It will take some time to recover from this, but we will get there. It’s not the first time we have faced this kind of situation. We are already been there”, he underlined, anxious to play down the situation.
