The FIBA3x3 U23 World Cup 2022 kicks off on 5 October in Bucharest (Romania). On the first day, the Japan Women’s National Team played two matches against Uzbekistan and Mongolia, and got off to a good start, winning both by knockout. After the first day of POOL C, Japan tied with the United States as the provisional top tie. There are two games left in the group round, and they are scheduled to play against the United States and the Dominican Republic on the 7th.

Twenty men’s and women’s teams from around the world are participating in this tournament, and the tournament runs until October 9th (Sun). The 20 teams will first be divided into 4 pools (A, B, C, D) of 5 teams each and play the first round round robin group round, with the top 2 teams in each pool advancing to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, the 1st and 2nd place AC and BD will face each other in a sash. A match for third place will also be held.
Japan is also participating in the men’s tournament, and will face Chinese Taipei and Lithuania on the 6th.
