Bad news for Bavaria!
National player Leroy Sané (26) was injured at the goal gala in the top game against SC Freiburg (5-0) on Sunday evening and had to be replaced after 75 minutes. The winger was examined after the end of the game.
Now the diagnosis is there. He has torn a muscle fiber in his left rear thigh. This was revealed by an MRI scan. This means that Bayern will have to do without their best man for several weeks!
According to BILD information, he will be out for around three weeks.
Against Freiburg, Sané (BILD-Rating 1) was once again the best player on the field. After a slump in performance, the international (10 goals/5 assists in 15 games) is in the form of his life. Now Bayern have to do without him for a longer time.

What happened?
Shortly before he was substituted (76th minute), the left winger felt pain in his left rear thigh after a pass and a turn. His thigh tightened. In the 76th minute, the outstanding Sané was replaced by Mathys Tel (17).
Immediately after the high five with trainer Julian Nagelsmann and some colleagues, the flap opened. Together with physiotherapist Gianni Bianchi, the national player disappeared into the catacombs and was examined. He came back during the game, swapped ideas with team doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne and sat down dejectedly on the bench. While his colleagues celebrated the 5-0 win over Freiburg, Sané quickly left the stadium.
Late on Sunday evening after the Freiburg game, Sané was hospitalized by Bayern team doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne on Säbener Straße.
It quickly became clear that the national player would miss several games. The only question was how bad the injury really is.
An MRI examination brought the certainty! Sané tore a muscle fiber in his left rear thigh and has to sit out for around three weeks.

Lucky in disguise for Bayern and the DFB!
Because a torn muscle would probably have meant the end of the desert World Cup (November 20th to December 18th) for our German international.
Hansi Flick (57) and Julian Nagelsmann (35) can take a deep breath. In the away game at Hertha BSC (November 5th) he could celebrate his comeback and be back on the pitch. Then he could warm up again in time for the World Cup, which begins in just under 4.5 weeks.
Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidžić (45) agrees that Sané in this form is indispensable for neither Bayern nor the World Cup team.
He formally paid homage to his wingman after the performance against Freiburg: “He can do everything. If he shows this body language, if he defends backwards like this, if he runs behind, if he repeats the balls, then he also has a left adhesive to the front, which is rare.
