FC Bayern Basketball – Second game, second win – Sport

As expected, the FC Bayern Munich basketball team won their first away game of the season at the Skyliners Frankfurt. In the 83:74 (37:26) success over the Hessians, they only had problems in the rather weak first and last quarter. The key to victory proved to be a phase just before the half-time break, in which the Munich team converted a 12:15 deficit into a 33:17 lead. The 21:2 run also came about because of a lot of ball losses by Frankfurt, which seemed jittery on the offensive in these minutes. As in the home win against Ulm on Saturday, Bayern Munich had the most successful thrower in their ranks in new point guard Cassius Winston (23 points). Former Munich player Joshua Obiesie (15) scored the most baskets for Frankfurt. The Würzburg Baskets also won their game against the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig on Monday evening. Less than 48 hours after the opening defeat against Telekom Baskets Bonn, Würzburg won its first away game with 89:82. It was also the first success of Lower Franconia at the Löwen Braunschweig in five years. The last victory there was in April 2017.
