Emma Raducanu and her coach Dmitry Tursunov are already going their separate ways – four coaches in 16 months!

It is not yet known who it is. However, according to the Times, Tursunov will start his new job next week.

It was not until April 2022 that Raducanu separated from Angelique Kerber’s long-time coach Torben Beltz. Tursunov took over a few months later, which had led to criticism from British politicians in view of the current political situation surrounding the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the resulting sanctions.

Last year, after the tournament in Wimbledon, the 19-year-old first ended working with Nigel Sears before Andrew Richardson led her to triumph in New York. A short time later, the 48-year-old was also over.

Beltz thus took over, although he was also only in office for five months.

At least Raducanu finds a new fitness coach

Raducanu explained her decision in April. “He has a big heart and I enjoyed the good chemistry between us,” said the Briton. But she has the feeling that switching to a new training model is best for her. After Tursunov’s exit, Raducanu has to look for coach number five in the past 16 months.

At least on the fitness side, the young Briton, meanwhile only No. 68 in the WTA ranking, landed a coup. Raducanu signed fitness coach Jez Green, who coached Andy Murray from 2007 to 2014. The Englishman also looked after Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem for a short time.
