Ensdorf.The North Bavarian Judoka Championship in the U13 age group was held in the Pfalzgrafenstadt Vohenstrauß: In ten weight classes, the top six from each of the districts of Upper Palatinate, Lower, Middle and Upper Franconia qualified for this competition. Six judoka were at the start for the DJK Ensdorf.
Daniel Bulinger, who won all fights in the class up to 40 kilograms, secured the title of North Bavarian Champion. Max Baur won the bronze medal in the weight class up to 30 kilograms. Lennox Doossche started in the class up to 36 kilograms and also took bronze. In the weight class up to 52 kilograms, the DJK had two other participants in the tournament with Davide Pennella and Hannah Kellner. Both met in the small final in the fight for the bronze medal. Pennella won the encounter in an even fight and relegated his club-mate to fifth place. The Vilstal starter Leopold Großmann also fought his way to fifth place.
With this result, all Ensdorf judoka qualified for the Bavarian championship, which will be held in Neutraubling next weekend. The top eight of the North Bavarian and South Bavarian Championships then meet to fight for the title.
