Champions League: Ludwigsburg basketball players get a clear opening win

The MHP giants Ludwigsburg started the group phase of the Basketball Champions League with a clear victory.

Under new coach Joshua King, the club won the opening game in Group E on Tuesday evening with 99:58 (54:36) against the Bakken Bears from Denmark.

The best pitcher of the game, in which the home side won every quarter, was giant professional Prentiss Hubb with 16 points. Yorman Polas get 15 points. A total of six Ludwigsburgers achieved a two-digit number of points. It was the second competitive win under King, after the Ludwigsburg team had already beaten the MLP Academics Heidelberg 100-86 on the first day of the Bundesliga.

In the second game of the European competition, the giants visit Hapoel Jerusalem on October 19. The representative from Israel had already beaten Darussafaka Istanbul 69:67 on Monday.
