BUAP debuts in the Student Basketball Association tournament

The BUAP debuted in the tournament of the Student Basketball Associationwith its men’s and women’s basketball teams, which held their first meeting in Division II (ABE League), where they faced the Colts of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.

The first to play their match were the women’s teams at the BUAP Arena, where the she-wolves fell with a score of 71 to 75. For their part, the men’s teams, although they gave their best effort on the field, the final score did not favor them : 86 to 93.

It is the first day in a tournament in which we are debuting; there is not much to worry about, but there is a lot to work on. We cannot repeat the small mistakes we made, we have six more days as locals to recover and leave the name of the university very high “commented Ramiro Condado, coach of the BUAP basketball teams.

The BUAP teams that contributed the most points were Tania López, with 24, and Jeimy Meza, with 12. In the men’s branch, Erick Rodríguez, with 21 points, and David Almazán, with 16.

The BUAP teams participate for the first time in the Student Basketball Associationlocated in Division II, of the Center-East Conference, for the 2022-2023 season, in which they share a group with universities such as La Salle México, IBERO Ciudad de México, Universidad Veracruzana, UVM Centro and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, among other.
