But in the midst of this satisfying start to the campaign from Gregg Popovich’s men, the franchise abruptly parted ways with one player. And for now, no one understands this crazy situation.
Josh Primo and the Spurs, it’s over. A real nugget that San Antonio intended to polish for many years, the Canadian was brutally kicked out by the silver & black franchise overnight. Might as well be clear: there is obviously an eel under the rock for such a decision to be taken…

Spurs have just cut full-back Josh Primo. This is a staggering separation, for the one who had been selected by San Antonio in 12th position in the 2021 Draft.

The situation is made even stranger by the fact that two weeks ago, the Spurs had already activated the option on the 3rd year of Primo, in which they placed enormous hopes. So what happened for the young player to be cut 2 weeks later, all accompanied by a message from franchise boss RC Buford explaining that he hopes “this decision will be in the best interests of Joshua and the team in the long term”? Same Adrian Wojnarowski is puzzled:
