Boston, Milwaukee and the Clippers signed a new victory this Saturday and are therefore still undefeated. Unlike Philadelphia, which suffered a third defeat in three games.

Boston may have changed coaches in the offseason following the suspension of Ime Udoka, but this does not seem to pose the slightest problem for Celtics players. The defending runners-up are the only team with three wins, following their 120-126 win in Orlando. Paolo Banchero’s Magic (23pts, 5rbds) sold its skin dearly in this very tight match where no team led by more than nine points, but the C’s managed the money-time well. Jayson Tatum, author of 40 points and 8 rebounds, carried his team, while Jaylen Brown was content with 12 points on 4 of 16 on shots. Still in the East, everything is also going well for Milwaukee, who won their second game, to the detriment of Houston (125-105). The Bucks led from start to finish and were up to 27 points ahead, in the wake of a huge Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 44 points and 12 rebounds! The other unbeaten team that played this Saturday is another title contender, the Clippers, who went to win at their neighbors Sacramento: 109-111. Led at halftime, Tyronn Lue’s men turned the game around, although the Kings hampered them until the end, De’Aron Fox bringing his team to -2 at the buzzer on a 3-point shot. But the Clippers were able to count on a Paul George of the big nights, who finished with 40 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (Kawhi Leonard did not play).

Philadelphia does not take off

If all goes well for these three franchises, that is not the case for another title contender, Philadelphia. After losing to Boston and against Milwaukee, the 76ers this time challenged a team that seemed well within their reach, moreover at home. But they lost 105-114 to San Antonio. Even if Joel Embiid scored 40 points and took 13 rebounds and if James Harden finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists, Philadelphia cracked in the last minutes, notably conceding a 10-0 in the middle of the last quarter. “We have to be better connected in defense” recognized the Franco-American-Cameroonian pivot. It should, indeed, because it has been six years since the 76ers signed such a start to the season.. Also note this Saturday the cardboard of Donovan Mitchell during the 96-126 victory of Cleveland in Chicago (32pts, 9rbds, 8pds) and the big performance of Luka Doncic with Dallas against Memphis (32pts, 7rbds, 10pds during the wide success 137 -96 against Memphis).
