L’Singapore Open was created in 1987. It was part of the Super Series until 2018 and then is classified Super 500 of the current World Tour.
The 2020 and 2021 editions have been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 71st edition took place in 2022.

It replaces the BMF Super Series and BMF Grand Prix tournaments.
