Badminton players start International Series in Peru

After the harvest of a silver and a bronze medal in Guatemala, achieved by Vanessa García and Lino Muñoz, Mexican badminton returns to the courts for the Peru 2022 International Series, which will take place from October 19 to 23 in the city of Lima .

The Mexican team, made up of eight athletes, will see action for five days at the Villa Deportiva Branch, in search of adding points in the ranking of the Badminton World Federation (BWF, for its acronym in English), towards the commitments of the next year as the Central American and Caribbean Games, as well as the Pan American Games.

The male branch is headed by the two-time Olympian, Lino Muñoz Mandujano, along with Job Castillo Galindo, Armando Gaitán Fausto and Rodrigo Morales.

In the women’s branch, Haramara Gaitán Fausto, Olympian in Tokyo 2020, leads the category also made up of Vanessa García Contreras, Miriam Rodríguez Pérez and Romina Fregoso Guevara.

The Peru 2022 International Series will feature the participation of more than 50 athletes from countries such as Guatemala, Argentina, Venezuela, Jamaica, El Salvador, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador, the United States, Canada, Portugal, Brazil, among others.
