Autol can already boast of new sports facilities. With part of the remnants of the municipality, the works have already been completed to improve the services of the town in relation to sports, which translate into new paddle tennis courts, a skate park, another 3×3 and one of athletics next to the current sports pavilion and in the old soccer field 7.
Although the initial idea was that the works would be carried out throughout 2022 and 2023 within the comprehensive remodeling project of the sports center, finally the council decided to remove the works from said project and thus put them out to tender this past summer so that the neighbors could enjoy them as much as possible. before.
The new sports courts have been financed from the remnants of the treasury, whose incorporation into the Municipal Budget approved the plenary session on May 3 and which include other investments such as the equipment of the municipal auditorium.
The site of the old dirt football field had an area of 3,408.82 square meters and to date it was in disuse and now serves to increase the city’s sports offer.
The term of execution of the works has been four months and the price of the award, to the company Construcciones Aldama Herce SL, has risen to 459,679 euros.
The multisport facility can be used to practice a variety of games such as football, basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis or badminton, among others, as specified in the approach to this proposal. The running or athletics track also has three lanes for training.
