BARAHONA.- The Superior Basketball Tournament of this city, in its XXXI version, will be inaugurated on November 25 at the Palacio de los Deportes, with the participation of five teams.
The information was provided by the president of the Basketball Association of this province (ASOBAPROBA), Francisco Vargas (Pachico), in a call made to the editorial office of El Faro del Sur.
The sports leader stated that the groups Cacique Enriquillo, Gregorio Luperón, Juan Pablo Duarte, La Unión and Los Cachorros will participate.
Vargas said that the organizing committee of the tournament will be chaired for the next two years by the director of the Economic Dining Rooms, Edgar Augusto Féliz Méndez.
“When we asked Edgar to be the president of the organizing committee of the tournament, he only made it a condition that he accept but that it be for the next two tournaments,” Vargas stressed.
Pachico said that in the next few days more details will be given in relation to the XXXI version of the sports fair.
