Agassi and Graf in chorus: our children? There are no second generations in tennis

In a recent interview dated 2019 with the Telegraph, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf revealed that they don’t want either of their two sons in the world of tennis. The older of the two, Jaden Jill, is an American baseball prospect.

No second generations in tennis

Agassi and Graf form one of the most beautiful and famous couples ever born in circus of tennis. The two have been married for over twenty years and have two children. Despite having dominated the circuit for years, two of them have won thirty slam events (22 Steffi and eight Andre), they do not wish a career in tennis for their children.

From the outside, in fact, it seems like a wonderful life always traveling around the world having fun. On the contrary, the tennis player’s life is very hard, always away from home and with very little chance of developing a satisfying social life (as more and more players are revealing in recent years).

Precisely for this reason, in an interview carried out together in 2019 with the Telegraph, both Andre and Steffi had said they were opposed to a career of their children in sport that made them famous all over the world.

There are no second generations in our sport. Parents who have been active in the tennis circus do not wish such a life for their children”.

There was, of course, no total closure to all sports. Son Jaden Jill, in fact, played baseball for the Las Vegas Recruits last summer and appears to be in the details for a deal with the University of Southern California. The boy, who grew up in Nevada, would be one of the most interesting prospects in the state.
