Thibaut Courtois was also still missing. The keeper is struggling with sciatica, a nerve pain at the bottom of his back. Real now has 22 points in the standings, three more than first pursuer FC Barcelona. The Classico will follow next Sunday. Even without minutes for Hazard, perhaps.
Ancelotti has already made it clear internally that Hazard does not have the intensity for the real top matches. And because of so little play, he can’t find it again.
At Real Madrid, no one can explain exactly why his coach is ignoring him.
