Caripali asked his assistants to find out a little about the characterand decided to have a nice gesture with him and his family.

Through his Twitter account, the coach published a message to locate the miner and give him a gift for the next game.

“From what I’m told, after his shift, he ran over to be with his son and see our team. I don’t know who he is, but I have tickets for him and his family at Rupp to be treated like VIPs.Caripali said.

He also remembered his beginnings and wanted to share it with his followers: “My family’s American dream began in a coal mine in Clarksburg, West Virginia, so this image hits home.”

“Today I thought a lot about my grandfather, who worked underground in the mine. I also had the privilege of going underground with miners in KY and was struck by one comment: “We go down together and we go out together“. They work for each other. The best teammates!!” added Caripali.
