Latvian cyclists Emīls Liepiņš ranked 14th in the one-day cycling race “Giro del Veneto” (UCI cat. 1.1) in Italy on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the cyclists measured 159.8 kilometers, overcoming several climbs.
Italian Mateo Trenin (UAE team) won the race, who finished in three hours, 37 minutes and 54 seconds.
French cyclist Remy Rochas (“Cofidis”) took second place, losing only one second, while another Frenchman, Mateo Verchere (“TotalEnergies”) settled for third place, two seconds behind the Italian.
The Latvian champion in the group race, Liepiņš (“Trek – Segafredo”), was only one minute and 18 seconds behind the winner and earned five world ranking points.
The “Giro del Veneto” cycling race took place for the 85th time.
