Settlement of scores with baseball bat in Piazzale Genova
It happened yesterday at 18.00 at the entrance to the public walk.
According to various witnesses, a dozen young people were seen chasing an unfortunate man who ran as fast as he could. A baseball bat has also emerged among the contenders.
Numerous calls arrived at 112 and 113 from passers-by understandably frightened by the improvised “manhunt”.
In the vicinity of the Genoa barrier there was a gazelle of the carabinieri which was quickly brought to the place, but upon arrival they had all disappeared.
The timely intervention of the carabinieri thus prevented the situation from taking a brutal turn. Investigations are in progress.
For some time, episodes of petty crime have been reported in the city center, especially in the area between the Cheope, via Santa Franca, the Public Passeggio, the Genoa barrier and in the area adjacent to the statue of Sant’Antonino.
