The place to go this weekend: 3×3 basketball at Carreau du Temple

BASKET 3×3. Two years before the next Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, the best 3×3 basketball players on the planet will meet at the Carreau du Temple, in Paris (IIIe), for a stage of the World Tour 2022. This is the first time that this circuit – the world elite – puts its floor in the capital. Born just a few months ago, the French professional team of “3×3 Paris” is one of the 14 squads present. Recent finalists of the Utrecht Masters, the “Parisians” are in the race to qualify for the Final of the Fiba World Tour 3×3, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 9 and 10.

The opportunity also to discover a spectacular discipline, which combines sport and show. Many activities will be available on the outer square and within the enclosure: DJ, Break dance, Barjot Dunkers, Cheerleaders, Initiations Basket, retrogaming…

The weekend poster: Créteil wants to bounce back against Nîmes

RALLY. Paris-Dakar lovers of the time have forgotten nothing of the legendary years of the mythical endurance event. For the first time, a rally will retrace the route used from Versailles to Sète in the 80s towards the first stage before joining the African continent: the National 20.

La « Hubert Auriol Classic » is also a tribute to the driver who died in January 2021, and who contributed to the fame of Paris-Dakar. The rally brings together many Dakar veterans. There are pilots, co-pilots and mechanics who were in the assistance of the Dakar at the time.

As for eligible old cars and motorcycles, they are those from 79 to 94 (or their replicas) whose model made the Dakar. The opportunity to review the Range Rover, Nissan, or the replica of the Renault 20 of the Marreau brothers, as well as the Yamaha Ténéré and XT or even the Honda Africa Twin.

The event: the 20 km of Paris

COURSE A PIED. It has become a tradition. For the 44th time, the 20 kilometers of Paris settle in the capital, this Sunday (9 am). With its varied panel of races both in terms of practice modality (face-to-face or connected) and in terms of distance (from 5km to 20km) and causes supported. There is something for everyone, from the licensed runner in search of performance to the new runner in search of health or meaning.

From the start, Pont d’Iéna, to the Eiffel Tower, via the Place de l’Etoile, the Bois de Boulogne, Roland-Garros, the Maison de la Radio, more than twenty musical events are planned to encourage the participants, who will be able to compete against the best, including Morhad Amdouni, double winner of the 20km and European champion of the 10,000m, Nicolas Navarro (12th in the marathon at the last Olympic Games), Mekdes Woldu (French champion of 10km and half-marathon 2021 ), Mélody Julien (French half-marathon champion in 2022), and many others.
