2022 – Curt Schilling Says Trevor Bauer Will Never Play Baseball Again: ‘It’s Not Getting Any Better For Him’ – Magazine, Health

In April, Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Trevor Bauer has been suspended from Major League Baseball for two seasons for allegedly violating the league’s policies on domestic violence and sexual assault.

The suspension took place after a San Diego woman accused Bauer of sexual assault in 2021.

Bauer has denied the allegations and has appealed the suspension.

“I deny in the strongest possible terms that I violated the League’s policies on domestic violence and sexual assault. I am appealing this lawsuit and expect to prevail,” Bauer said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “As we have done throughout this process, my representatives and I respect the confidentiality of the proceedings.”

In February, the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office said Bauer will not be prosecuted for the allegations.

While Bauer will be eligible to return to baseball during the 2024 MLB season, a former major league pitcher doesn’t see his potential return to the mound ever becoming a reality.

“No, absolutely not,” Schilling said when asked if Bauer deserved a ban. “No. Nothing happened.”

Schilling said the current political climate will pose an obstacle to Bauer’s return to the diamond.

“They know it as well as I do – especially when it comes to companies – and the majority of the owners are very liberal people,” Schilling said. “You won’t touch him. Sport has become a very uncomfortable place.

“Pro sports have started to cater to fans who don’t buy tickets. If you think about the fans who serve them, think about the fans who go to their sponsors and boycott their sponsors. Not the people who show up at the ballpark, stadium, arena, or rink.

A decision on Bauer’s appeal is expected after World Cup 2022forbes sea.

“In this day and age, with the way society is going, it doesn’t get any better for him,” Schilling said on the podcast. “Things will not improve. People aren’t going to start saying, ‘Well, that’s the past.’”

Schilling also discussed the media attention a team would get by putting Bauer in the roster and said he wouldn’t blame a team for not wanting that kind of attention.
