Mikael Ymer surprises the locals

The World No.11 did not start with very good feelings without being able to string together good games on serve. A weapon that he normally dominates with category was not being of great help to him and he saw how two turns on serve slipped away from him, although he was able to recover them at the time. Ymer was motivated and he was seen without any fear, but he made those mistakes that cannot be made against tennis players of these characteristics.

Coming to the decisive games of the quarter, it could be expected that it was the Italian who would take that bite. It didn’t happen that way and the Swede took the lead taking the first set. Sinner showed signs of improvement early in the second. He had a break ball that finally escaped but that good work on the court postulated that the difference would rise in his favor. In little more than half an hour he was able to serve to take the set at 5-2, but doubts ran through his body so that he gave up the game in white. Even so, he managed to close it to the rest winning 6-3.

The problems with the first hit returned for Sinner who, in a rather reversed start to the last set, was able to maintain equality. Mikael kept pressing and the desire to want to do something nice this Sunday lasted. He managed to leave from the fifth game, and raised a 0-40 later so that the Italian could not achieve equality. Finally, it was the rest when Mikael Ymer managed to defeat Sinner in the duel of the Davis Cup placing the 1-1.
