Win against Finland: Spain first semi-finalist | basketball

The three-time European champion Spain is the first team to reach the semi-finals of the European Basketball Championship. The Spaniards prevailed in Berlin in the quarterfinals against the surprise team from Finland with 100:90 (43:52) and are therefore possible opponents of the German team.

The German team meets title candidate Greece with NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in their quarterfinals at 8.30 p.m. (RTL and Magentasport).

The best pitcher for the Spaniards was Willy Hernangómez from the NBA club New Orleans Pelicans with 27 points. In the final phase, veteran Rudy Fernandez turned up the heat and led the Spaniards to victory. NBA professional Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz couldn’t prevent the Finns with 28 points and eleven rebounds.
