Lformer golfer and Instagram phenomenon, Paige Spiranacbelieves that Tiger Woodsone of the best golfers of all time, has been judged very harshly for his behavior off the golf course, such as when he learned of the cheating on his ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
On the podcast in early 2021, Playing a Round with Paige Reneethe influencer noted that “I think people were being too hard on him,” when relationship problems and Woods’ bad behavior became a common theme.
You look at your own life and the things you’ve done. No one lives a perfect life, we all make mistakes. It’s not that he killed someone, he was unfaithful. Many people are unfaithful in their lives. Probably 99.9 percent of people have done something wrong in their life. It’s not for people to sit on his couch and make him look like a monster when I don’t think anyone could have handled that better than him.
“Let’s get rid of that culture and help these people because they don’t know what they’re going through,” he added. “I don’t think any of us can handle that spotlight, it’s crazy.”
The effect of fame and Tiger’s past influenced his life
According to Spiranac, the unusual life of Tiger Woodswho rose to fame as a prodigy before he reached his teens and later became the youngest to win every major golf championship in the same calendar year, as well as witnessing his own father’s infidelities had an effect deep in the golfer.
“Of course he’s going to have problems growing up in that environment,” Spiranac said. “The fame that he had, always in the spotlight. He has never had a normal life.”
Woods’ form plummeted dramatically following the collapse of his marriage to Nordegren, having previously dominated the sport in an unprecedented way, he was one to turn heads.
But he persevered and eventually made it back to the Major Winners Circle, triumphing at the 2019 Augusta Masters.
However, his ability to win another has been called into question, having recently had to undergo back surgery.

Tiger appeared in a video of him and his son sporting nearly identical swings, and Spiranac was among those impressed.
“Charlie Woods is a mini Tiger, it’s an impressive thing,” Paige said.
