Klay posts epic farewell to ‘great’ summer ready for NBA season, originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

After winning his fourth title in eight seasons with the Warriors, Klay Thompson has lived his best life all offseason.

From the Bahamas to his backyard with his dog Rocco, Thompson’s summer of world tours has come to an end.

But the end of summer means the 2022-23 NBA season is upon us, and Thompson seems more ready than ever.

In addition to dancing and jumping boats into bright blue waters and popping beers at Dodger Stadium, Thompson has been working the basketball court all offseason as he prepares to chase ring number five.

Earlier this month, the Splash Bro dumped 22 straight 3-pointers during an offseason practice. According to Swish Cultures, he went 11 of 11 from deep on both sides and missed just 15 shots during the 70-minute practice session.

That outburst from behind the arc came just days after Thompson expressed frustration with NBA 2K23 for giving it a 3-point shot rating of 88 and calling the video game developer clowns and “bums.”

And that’s just a snippet of what we hear from an angry Thompson who just needs a little to fuel his fire.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he’s glad Thompson was having the summer of his life and his first real offseason in more than two years of back-to-back injury rehab.

The perfect offseason reset is just what Thompson needed. And it adds even more excitement to an already exciting upcoming season for Golden State.
