Victor Wembanyama on American tour

Victor Wembanyama is really turning heads in the United States. With his new team from Boulogne-Levallois, the Frenchman will perform next month in Las Vegas. The Metropolitans 92 will face the G-League Ignite, a team composed mainly of high school students with high potential, on October 4 and 6.

This double confrontation in the United States will be scrutinized very closely by NBA observers and recruiters. Considered the favorite to be chosen first in the 2023 Draft, the French giant (2.19 meters and 95 kilos), 18 years old, will face him Scoot Henderson, expected in n°2 of the next selection of young NBA talents. This phenomenal American point guard teams up with Canadian Leonard Miller and Frenchman Sidy Cissoko.

These three young players have chosen to join this development league team, the NBA’s little sister, rather than the NCAA university route to be selected in the first round of this Draft.

ESPN will broadcast both matches

For Boulogne-Levallois, this new agenda is unexpected to say the least because the Ile-de-France team will have already started its championship in Betclic Elite. The team coached by the coach of the France team, Vincent Collet, plays on September 23, 27 and 30.

Finally, note that the two meetings should be broadcast on the American channel ESPN. Proof that the Americans have not finished talking about Victor Wembanyama!
