Marc Surer does not think that Max Verstappen would immediately be as successful in a Ferrari car as he is now at Red Bull. According to the former F1 driver, there is a logical explanation for this.
Verstappen has been working with Red Bull Racing since the beginning of his career. First at Toro Rosso (now AlphaTauri), then at Red Bull. From 2016, Verstappen, together with the team, has gotten better year after year. In 2021 there was finally the reward: a world championship. Verstappen and Red Bull

Surer therefore does not think that Verstappen would immediately be better in a Ferrari than, for example, Charles Leclerc, who has been driving at Ferrari for years and has a connection with the team and the car. “If you let him drive the Ferrari now, he might say you can’t drive the car because it just suits Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz now. You can’t just put a driver in another car and be sure.” that he goes faster than the driver who is driving him now.
