US Open, ATP > Sinner: “Obviously I want to be the best player in the world”

While he will face Carlos Alcaraz tonight (not before 2:30 am) for a place in the semi‐finals of the US Open, Jannik Sinner returned to a press conference on his short and medium term objectives. And it is clear that the Italian has big ambitions for the future.

“Obviously I want to be the best player in the world and I think I can be proud of the process I’m following, although I know it’s a long road. We know it can be easy for the mind to descend into chaos when you’re working so hard to improve yourself and incorporate new variations into your game. But at no time did I set myself the goal of being at the Masters from Turin at the end of the season but, if that happens, so much the better. My only goal is to keep working hard and evolving. I love tennis and I want to keep improving. »
