Town of Suba leads the District Youth Games 2022

A surprising turn in the medal table left the eighth day of the I District Youth Sports Games, by giving Locality 11 Suba a tremendous blow and seizing first place, moving for the first time from the tip to Engativá (Locality 10).

Suba not only discounted the 2 medals that she had, but also added enough gold medals to distance herself by 5 golds and profile herself as a strong candidate to be the champion of the jousting, since, given the regularity in her results, it will be difficult to move her .

Mastery in MTB mountain biking and the good sum of medals in judo and taekwondo, gave Suba the necessary number to assume for the first time the reins of the jousts, to the detriment of Engativá, which did not have, in general terms, a good day in terms of gold medals.

Below is the IDRD tweet with more information about the District Youth Games, which Suba now leads.

In mountain biking, Suba dominated and extended his lead in the Games medal table

In MTB, Suba won 3 of the 4 gold medals in dispute: in junior cross country with Johan David Moreno and Ana Sofía Aragón, and in junior cross country with Tania Valentina Aragón. In this discipline, the first medal of the locality 20 Sumapaz was given in the jousting, with Ailyn Natalia Montañez, silver in junior cross country.

In judo, Suba added 3 golds and Engativá went blankwhile in taekwondo, Suba added 6 gold medals, against 2 for Engativá, ratifying his move to first place in the medal table, already with a difference of 5 golds (36 to 31), which gives him some peace of mind.

But he gave the greatest rebound, precisely in taekwondo, Locality 8 Kennedy, which won 18 gold medals and climbed to third place in the table with 26, and approaching only 5 golds from Engativá (and 10 from Suba), clearly entering the dispute for at least second place and , in addition, moving away enough from the fourth, Barrios Unidos, which adds 16; that is to say, it is 10 gold medals above, which begins to outline that the podium would most likely be between Suba, Engativá and Kennedy.

Bosa has 14 gold medals, he is fifth and, in theory, he could still get into the fight; but from the sixth Ciudad Bolívar and Rafael Uribe, with 10 golds, it already looks very complicated because the disadvantage is quite wide in relation to the pointers.

The Games resume this Tuesday, with bowling competitions at the El Salitre bowling alley, and speed skating on the track at the Parque Recreodeportivo El Salitre, PRD.
