The Italian Baseball Series will kick off this evening at 8.30 pm on the diamond in Serravalle di San Marino.
Titani and Parma Clima will face each other in a series of the best of seven games with games scheduled over a distance of seven innings. This is the complete program:

Race 6: Saturday 10 September, at 20.30 in San Marino (community pitchers)
Race 7: Sunday 11 September, 8.30 pm in San Marino (foreign pitchers)
The fifth, sixth and seventh games will be played only if necessary. In case of postponement due to rain, the races will be played the following day with the entire program being postponed.
“We arrive at this series of finals with morale high and the belief that we can play it with anyone – says Gianguido Poma, manager of Parma Clima -. The semi-final against Bologna gave us a further moral and psychological boost: we know it will be difficult but we want to do everything possible to bring home the national title as well ”.
San Marino had a more relaxed approach to the Scudetto final and enjoyed a few more days of rest after having closed the semifinal against Grosseto in five games. On the other hand, the European champions will float on the enthusiasm of the painful victory on Monday evening in Bologna.
“We know each other well with San Marino. They have strengthened in recent weeks but we are still optimistic, we know we have the necessary qualities to hold the scene “.
Parma Clima will take the field tomorrow evening with a different rotation of pitchers from the one planned. The 79 throws made on Monday evening by Montilla make it impossible to use and force the Parma bench to study valid alternatives also in light of the injury to the side accused in recent days by Contreras which prevented the Dominican closer from playing in the seventh match against Bologna .
“Contreras and Mineo are pretty confident we have them available. We will not be able to ask for anything from the Italian pitchers who will have to play in game two on Friday, but I hope to have help from our community. Diaz did not make any launch in the semifinals and should be motivated by the desire for redemption after the daring final of the last championship game. Lugo played on Sunday and could give us some pitches in anticipation of Monday’s match: it is clear that a lot will depend on Contreras’ presence. We cannot compromise the outcome of the entire series for just one race ”.
San Marino, reigning Italian champion, comes to the starting line of the finals with a continuous and powerful attack and a stellar pitching staff. The manager Doriano Bindi will be able to count on foreigners Centeno (who arrived a few days ago for the occasion) and Quevedo, on the community Palumbo, Baez and Kourtis and on the Italians Da Silva, Quattrini, Peluso, Di Raffaele and Mazzocchi. The only uncertainties are related to the shoulder injury remedied in the national team by Celli who has recently prevented the outside from playing in defense by limiting him to the role of designated hitter.
