Toledo City Council The City Council opens the registration period for sports activities for the new season with nearly eight thousand places

The mayor of Sports and Youth, Pablo García, has appeared at a press conference this Friday to announce the details of the new season of sports activities of the Municipal Sports Board that will offer a total of 7,857 places and almost 50 activities.

As detailed, the fifty activities are divided into four blocks, these being: physical activity and health (Aerobics, Aquagym, Calisthenics, GAP, Maintenance, Active Seniors, Nordic Walking, Bodybuilding, Pilates, Aquatic Pilates, Hiking, Spinning, Tai chi, Yoga and Mindfulness yoga and Zumba.

Secondly, the Sports block brings together Athletics, Fencing, Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Futsal, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Mini-sports, Swimming for all ages, Padel, Figure Skating, Inline Skating, Inclusive Canoeing, Tennis and Volleyball.

Thirdly, sports of fight and combat with Jiu jitsu, Judo, Karate, Krav Magá, Taekwondo. And, finally, the recreational physical activities that add proposals such as Line Dance, Modern Dance, Fit Flamc, Christmas Camps, Easter and Minirhythm.

Among the novelties of this season, the mayor has transferred that two new activities are added, such as: Mindfulness yoga and Women’s Futsal. The first combines yoga exercises with thoughts that improve concentration and mindfulness in order to reduce stress and anxiety, and the second will take place in a new group on Tuesdays and Thursdays at IES Mª Pacheco from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. .

These are initiatives that the local government incorporates, thus responding to the demands of users and always taking into account technical criteria, the demand and viability of the proposals.

The mayor of Sports has also pointed to the improvement that the possibility that the local government opened in this legislature of formalizing registrations and reservations through the internet has meant for users and that is, as he has maintained, “a total of 16,000 credentials, only yesterday there were 2,400 face-to-face registrations and 1,400 online, which represents a success”.

Registration deadline

As for the registration period, it will be open until September 15 for those registered in Toledo and from 16 it will open for other users. Entries may be made in person, at the Gymnastics School Pavilion from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. or on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the indoor pool of Salto del Caballo, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; the Santa María de Benquerencia Pavilion from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and the Santa Bárbara pavilion from Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The form of payment in the registration centers will be through a credit or debit card and by self-assessment and until September 4 registrations can also be made in the five summer pools from 09:00 to 11:30 and from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., although there you can only pay with a credit or debit card.

To formalize the registrations through the internet, a credential must be previously requested through the mail [email protected], indicating the name, surnames, NIF, year of birth, telephone and email, of the interested person. Once received, you will be able to access the Registration tab on the website www.patronatodeportivotoledo.com.
