Tickets for the Latvian national basketball team’s game against Great Britain are selling out in a short period of time

On Tuesday, the public sale of tickets for the match, which will take place in two months, began on the LBS website “basket.lv”. The day before, fans with the longest experience could buy tickets at a special price.

11,315 spectators attended the match between Latvia and Turkey on August 25.

Latvian men’s national basketball team in the qualification cycle of the 2023 World Cup, after six rounds of matches with five victories, occupying the first place in the group table – ahead of Greece (4-2), Belgium (3-3), Serbia (3-3), Turkey (2- 4) and British (1-5) teams.

It will be possible to secure a road map to the final tournament already in the next cycle of two games in November, when the Latvian team will first go to an away game against the Greek national team, which they will compete with on November 10, and three days later the Latvians will host the British national team in Arena Riga. Compared to the summer road games, the National Basketball Association (NBA) players Kristaps Porzingis and Dāvis Bertāns will not be able to help in these matches, and most likely also the basketball players of the Euroleague teams.

LBS indicates that in the event that attendance at events is affected by epidemiological safety measures, the customer will be refunded the face value of the purchased tickets in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights.
