Sestri Levante. After the stop caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on Sunday 11 September from 10 in the historic center, the Sports Day will be held with a renewed formula, organized by the Municipality and coordinated by the delegated municipal councilor Gabriele Ovindo in collaboration with local associations. Children and adults will be able to get to know the local sports realities, get information on the activities that can be practiced and in many cases try the different disciplines or see athletes and enthusiasts try their hand at their own specialties.
A day of fun, games and emotions with over twenty-one associations present: basketball, volleyball, football, dance, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, judo and karate, athletics, cycling, archery, skating, water sports. A showcase for the many sports realities and a useful opportunity to discover the opportunities that Sestri Levante offers.
At 7 pm piazza Matteotti will host a moment of discussion and awareness raising on issues related to the world of sport, health and the environment. The planned interventions are decidedly prestigious: Alberto Razzetti, world and European swimming champion, Luigi Turci, coach and former footballer, Matteo Muzio and Matteo Bottini, European team vice-champions at the Junior Europeans of river descent kayaking, and Giovanni Saperdi, senior Italian champion of surfski. Robert Joel Capello moderates the meeting.
