The 2022 European Shooting Championships have officially opened. In Wroclaw, Poland, today was the turn of the first shooting sessions for the juniors. Let’s go see how things went.

The first round of the format saw Croatian Lana Spirelja close in front of everyone with a score of 291/300. In the middle of the group, instead, the Italians, who are looking to the eighth and last place, to try tomorrow to reach the qualification for the semifinals: 11th Cristina Magnani (283/300 – 93/95/95), 14th Giada Giannachi (280/300 – 94/95/91) and 18th Alessandra Fait (279/300 – 97/88/94).
Within the same contest, but for men, a specialty that will be performed tomorrow with the automatic pistol, there is also the victory of the European title of Matteo Mastrovalerio, who came in front of everyone with the score of 575/600 (18x – 95/93/96 + 98/99/94).

Given the large number of contestants, a pre-qualifying session for the race had to be organized in Poland. No problem for Danilo Dennis Sollazzo, Gabriele Biondi and Edoardo Bonazzi. First step passed by the three Italians who will be on the lines for the qualifying session tomorrow.
The female en plein, however, fails. In fact, Sofia Benetti and Anna Schiavon passed the cut, while Paola Paravati paid for a bad shooting session by being eliminated prematurely.. Also for them tomorrow the qualifying session that will precede the final.
