The NBA has decided: Ime Udoka suspended for the entire season

After the rumors circulated in the early afternoon about a probable suspension against the head coach of the Boston Celtics Ime Udoka, the confirmation of this hypothesis came from the usual Adrian Wojnarowski.

Udoka, who was entering his second season as head coach of an NBA team, received a one-year suspension for violating his contract with the Massachusetts franchise.

Among the various names of his possible replacements, assistant coach Joe Mazzulla was chosen as interim head coach for the 2022-2023 season.

Mazzulla is only 34 years old, two less than Celtics veteran Al Horford, however he has been in Boston since 2019 and has some weight in the green-and-white locker room. Last season he often replaced Udoka for some interviews and other media engagements.
