The municipal sports program for students from Granada starts in October

The City Council, through the Department of Sports whose head is Marcos González, launches the municipal sports program 2022/2023 for students from Granada from October 3 to June 16. A total of 13 sports disciplines will be taught in the municipal facilities and in the Early Childhood and Primary Education Centers (CEIP), with the registration period starting on September 26 and in person at the offices of the Child Care Service. Citizenship (SAC).

Baseball, initiation to athletics, five-a-side football, basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, karate, Canarian wrestling, paddle tennis, in-line skating, taekwondo, tennis and Zumba kids are part of the program that the Sports area has prepared for this academic year to the child population, aged between 3 and 13 years. The total price per activity and throughout the eight-month period will be 40 euros, with discounts for siblings.

Marcos González highlights the importance of practicing sports for the personal development of our child and youth population, which is why the area he directs works so that our young people fill sports centers with their physical activity, as the best way to promote habits of healthy life and coexistence among colleagues.

The councilor encourages people to sign up and become part of the family of sports from Granada, extending it to the rest of the adult population, for whom a wide-ranging healthy sports program is also offered for all Granadilleros. “The objective is to develop a program that combines the real demand of the population. Very few places carry out a sports program and an economic investment for sports as important as the one carried out in this municipality, which this year has a budget of almost one million euros”, he emphasizes.
