This morning the programming of the Sports Schools of the IMD (Municipal Sports Institute) for the 2022/2023 academic year was presented at the Santander City Council and on Monday, the 12th, the registration period opens.
The offer is 4,173 seats, 200 more than last year. Of the total number of places, 2,138 are for Sports Schools, 306 for activities from October to June, 1,529 (each term) for quarterly activities and 200 for Campus.

As news, this year 4 schools are expanded: Handball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Volleyball. Four new quarterly courses have also been introduced: Tennis for adults in the morning, therapeutic Aquagym, GAP (glutes, abdominals and legs), Crosstraining and Latin Aero-step.
Those registered in Santander will have preference
On September 12, the pre-registration period will open for activities that will begin, like every year, on the first school day of October. The term to carry out the pre-registration extends between September 12 and 19, admitting directly the students of those disciplines or venues that the demand does not exceed the existing supply. In the event that the demand exceeds the supply, a draw will be held to assign the places, with preference given to students registered in the municipality of Santander.
Each student may, at most, make 4 pre-registrations (if this number is exceeded, only the first 4 will be taken into account). If a student wins the draw, he or she will only be admitted to one of the activities and schedules requested. As of September 23, in activities with vacant places, registration can be made directly through the website.
