ESCUINAPA._ With the presence of the participating teams from the municipalities of Mazatlán, El Rosario and Escuinapa, the inauguration of the First Mixed Basketball Festival 2022 took place this Saturday.
The master of ceremony, Santos Gómez, was in charge of presenting the Venados Pata Saladas de Mazatlán, Pirates of Mazatlán, Águilas de El Rosario and Felinos de Escuinapa squads.
The honors to the flag were carried out with the intervention of the escort of the Primary, José G. Gutiérrez, morning shift.
The personalities who were at the presidium table were presented, which were, Juan Pablo Camacho Rivera, Municipal basketball delegate; Jazheel Acosta Alemán, Councillor, and Jorge Crespo Choza, Professor.
They were also, Roberto Hernández, Coach of the Women’s team, Wars; Juan Manuel Torres, director and instructor of the Basketball Clinic, New Values 2020, and Modesto Morelos and Francisco Millán Belmonte from the private initiative.
Juan Torres, who was in charge of giving the words of welcome, pointed out that the beginning of this project began in 2016, at the initiative of the physical education teacher, Miguel Camacho, who invited him and Pablo to participate. Camacho.
Visibly moved, he pointed out that this day marks exactly two years since the New Values 2020 Basketball Academy was founded, which seems easy but it has been thanks to the support of all those present.
“Thanks to those who are supporting us. Parents, without you, we would not exist. Thank you for the trust and support to the academy and all its projects. Thank you presidium table for trusting us, for your financial and moral support. Without you, this would not be possible,” he said.
The inaugural act corresponded to the councilor and the swearing in to the Municipal basketball delegate.
The event concluded with the basketing of the first basket, and this was done by Acosta Alemán with the first shot to the hoop, before the hubbub of those present.
