A few days before the start of the franchise’s training camp, Steve Kerr answered questions from journalists on Thursday, and mentioned the case of Andre Iguodala, more than ever expected by the Dubs. Without really getting too wet, the coach made it clear that he too dreams of the return of the veteran, while slipping a big indiscretion, reported by Taylor Wirth and NBC Sports Bay Area :
I keep hope, but beyond that, I don’t really know what Andre will do. He trains here and asks the training staff to work with him and judge him. I think he takes the temperature to find out what he can do, and he was told from the start that he could take as long as he wanted. So he takes his time, and that’s fine with us. We’ll see.
At 38, Iggy is therefore keeping in shape at the facilities of GS, with whom he has won his four championship rings. Will he have the opportunity to grab a fifth in the coming months? Admittedly losing ground on the sporting level, Andre Iguodala is nonetheless a part of the California locker room. The fact that he continues to train with the franchise could precisely indicate that he intends to keep this role next year!
