Reigning Croatian champions Dinamo decided to win over favored Chelsea in the 13th minute, after Oršič successfully solved a quick counterattack. After switching sides, both teams fired at the goal structure.

Another favorite, AC Milan, also hesitated in Group E. Salzburg took the lead against the “Rossoneri” in the 28th minute thanks to Okafora, while Saelemaekers equalized for the Italian champions in the opening act.
