The 2023 shooting and skeet shooting season, which will effectively lead to the 2024 Paris Olympics, has been mapped out.
In the ISSF General Assembly, held last September 2 in Larnaca, where the European shooting championships are being held, the number of events that will concern next year’s agenda were announced. Let’s go and discover them.
Shooting and skeet shooting: the 2023 season calendar
The calendar will include: 6 stages of the World Cup in shooting, 6 stages of the World Cup in skeet shooting, 2 Grand Prix of target shooting for 10m compressed air competitions and 1 Grand Prix of skeet shootingall events where shooters can both to snatch Olympic passes for their national contingents and to increase their points in the world ranking, which will then assign an Olympic pass for each individual individual specialty.
Then the big revelation: the 2023 World Championship in target shooting and skeet shooting will be held in Baku in Azerbaijan.
2023 therefore promises to be a very intense year. At the moment the geographical locations of the events have not been disclosed. Updates from the International Federation will follow.
