Steve Kerr defines Andrew Wiggins’ contribution as “incredible”

Three months have passed since the last NBA Finals took place, but for that reason the weight that a player who until recently was undervalued had on the outcome of the same is remembered: Andrew Wiggins.

The forward came to the Warriors as part of a plan that Golden State knew how to draw up and execute perfectly. A specific role and a favorable environment catapulted him first to being an All-Star and soon after to an essential part of a team that was champion again four years later. Given such a context, Steve Kerr can only praise how much his pupil has contributed.

“He couldn’t have played his role better, especially in the Finals, but really throughout the playoffs. The way he recovered, the way he defended the best players from the rival… it was just incredible. It’s just been a perfect marriage. We are delighted with him and I know he is happy to be here. I am very excited to continue coaching Wiggs.” head coach of the Californian organization.

The reality is that Wiggins kept a lot of mouths shut over the past year. After his arrival on the team, back in 2020, skepticism became palpable in many analyses. Now, being an All-Star and with a ring in his possession, his career has taken a completely different turn.
