The three basketball players from Queretaro, Mario Muñoz, Alexander Ochoa and Ángel Durán said they were happy to attend the Basketball World Cup in Maderas, Portugal, assuring that they are going for the gold, they want to beat all the teams, because they have trained hard and have prepared themselves great form for what will be this tournament in which Mexico will participate for the first time.

Ángel Durán, at 22 years old, stated that the preparation for this World Cup was very hard, but they go with the mentality of winning all the games, of beating all their rivals, in addition to taking advantage of the trip to walk on the beach and be able to meet more people, but what excites him most is traveling by plane.

“I am very happy that we are going to travel by plane, we are going to win all the games, we have trained a lot, Lore believes in me a lot and I am sure that we are going to beat all the teams. The preparation has been hard, heavy, we had to run and so on, but it helped us to beat everyone. In Portugal I also want to go to the beach for a walk, meet more people and long live Mexico!”

Mario Muñoz, a 23-year-old young man from Queretaro, who already has international experience, but in another discipline, such as swimming, said he was happy for this trip and wants to win his first gold in European lands and what better way than with his teammates team player, with whom he also has a great friendship both on and off the court.

“I want to win gold in Europe, we are going to beat all the teams, the preparation has been good, strong, I love the coach and her daughters very much, the training has been very hard, the goal is to beat all the teams and return with the gold with the whole group. I really like to make baskets, I have already participated in swimming at an international level. Viva México!”

Alexander Ochoa, who is 18 years old, said he was happy to participate in this international competition, since it is his first time leaving the country and he is excited to meet players from other countries, but above all he assured that his teammates without their best friends and everyone will win.

“I feel good to win, I have trained a lot and it has been very demanding. It is the first trip I have made and it excites me, I will also be able to meet other players, new players. This trip will also be good to get to know the island and the landscape, my colleagues are my best friends and we are all going to win”.

These three basketball players and their coach, Lorena Sánchez, are now more than ready to embark on this adventure, in which, without a doubt, they expect to achieve very good results, since the coach assured that the boys have grown a lot in sports and personal matters, as well as that it will be the first time they go on a trip and separate from their family for several days, which will be the most complicated, but they are working very well.
