Students from Madre de Dios in the “B” category, whose ages fluctuate between 13 and 14 years old, participate in the competitions of the macro-regional stage of the 2022 School Sports and Parasports Games, which take place in the city of Abancay, region Apurimac.
The students are part of the delegation of 207 people, among athletes, coaches and delegates, who paraded at the opening ceremony of this stage held at the Free Town Coliseum with the presence of regional governor Baltazar Lantarón.
The delegation, led by the director of Institutional Management, Armando Ortiz de Orué Bocángel, paraded earlier in the afternoon main streets of Abancay together with the other representations, in what constituted a sports party which mobilized a large part of the city’s population.
Los young athletes from Madre de Diosboth ladies and men, compete in futsal, basketball, volleyball y football; as well as in the individual disciplines of Chess, athletics, swimming, table tennis y judo.
In this macro-regional stage schoolchildren compete Mother of God, Ayacucho, Cusco y Apurimac.
