RFS and FK “Auda” enter the final of the Latvian Cup

In the semi-finals, Riga won 5:0 (1:0) against “Grobiņa”, the team of the second league.

RFS achieved 1:0 in the 25th minute of the match, when Denis Rakel headed the ball into the goal in the penalty area after Bill’s pass. The Riga players strengthened their lead in the 59th minute, when Bils beat the opponents with an easy kick from the middle of the penalty area.

The third goal for the home team was scored by Vladislavs Fyodorovs, who in the 65th minute scored an accurate header after Stefan Panič’s cross. When there were 12 minutes left until the end of regular time, Bils made it 4:0 for the Latvian champions, who completed his “hat-trick” with a shot from close range in the first minute of the compensation time.

In preparation for the upcoming UEFA Conference League match in a week, RFS made radical changes to the starting eleven.

In the second semi-final, “Auda” beat “Jelgavu” 6:1 (5:1) at the “Skonto” stadium.

“Auda” needed only 24 seconds to reach 1:0. After taking the ball away from the opponents, “Auda” ran into a counterattack and Abubakar Karamoko sent the ball into the goal after playing with Aleksej Savelieva. Less than three minutes later, after a corner kick, Rafaëls Rezende made it 2-0 in favor of Käkavniki.

In the tenth minute of the game, “Auda” played clumsily in their own penalty area, which allowed Vladislav Žiš to make it 1:2, but a few minutes later, a penalty kick was awarded to the “Jelgava” goal, which Giorgis Minchev realized and restored the two-goal lead.
