Relegation fought in the 2nd Bundesliga

REICHRAMING. With a 4:3 win in the very last round against host Noricum Leibnitz, Askö Reichraming was able to secure their place in the judo league for the fifth time.

Reichraming conceded three defeats against Samurai Vienna, Union Dornbirn and Union Burgkirchen/Schwand at the beginning of the autumn round, which was held in the form of a day tournament as well as in the spring. At this point, they found themselves at the bottom of the table before the last round and were already expecting relegation. However, the team pulled its head out of the noose again and overtook Graz and Dornbirn in the table by beating Leibnitz and fought for seventh place in the 2nd Bundesliga. How things will continue in 2023 is open, a voluntary withdrawal of the Ennstaler is being discussed internally. The entry for the 2nd division must be announced after the Final Four of the 1st Bundesliga on November 19th at the latest.
